Flossie gets a haircut

Halfway Home Pet Rescue volunteers could not decide if Flossie was just having a bad hair day or simply in a bad mood, so they sent her to the vet to get her hair done into a Lion’s Cut and you should see her now,” said President of the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Norma Milton.

fs-norma-dc-ar-10Flossie and her sister, Cloud, have already had their veterinary treatments and are very ready for a good home — preferably where they can be adopted together. Adoption hours at HHPR are Saturday from 12 noon to 4 pm or by calling Mary at 999-1075. The rescue is transporting another 10 young adult cats to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. “We are so fortunate to have this opportunity for our cats,” Milton said. “They are a very compassionate facility with a greater adoption population to work with so they find each of our lovely cats good homes within a few days.” The Rescue’s Bake Sale and Trash and Treasure Sale went well over the weekend, and HHPR officials are hoping to continue it for another weekend or more. The location at 159 Bennett Drive. “At this point, we have made almost enough through donations and sales to pay our vet bill for the month,” Milton added.
