    RE/MAX Central originated in 1984 as Kieffer Insurance and Real Estate.
In 1985, Jane and Paul Towle teamed with Lehrle and Rob Kieffer to become RE/MAX Central Real Estate. The Caribou office grew and they added a new Presque Isle office. RE/MAX Central has continued to grow, now including offices in Houlton and Fort Kent.
As members of the Realtors Association, we are always current with state laws covering real estate.

Jane Towle was raised in Fort Fairfield and earned her bachelor’s degree at UMaine. Upon graduating, Jane lived in Boston and New Hampshire for 20 years and married County native Paul Towle. In 2005, they returned to The County. Jane is past president of the PI Rotary Club, UMPI Foundation Executive Board, NMCC Foundation Board, Maine Winter Sports Center Board and Event Director of International Biathlon Union’s Junior Biathlon World Championships. Jane loves working with her County clients and enjoys helping new residents appreciate all that Aroostook County has to offer. Jane and Paul have two sons — Justin and Jake.
Lehrle Kieffer, licensed in 1984, is experienced assisting buyers and sellers in tough real estate markets. For better customer service and exciting team synergy, Lehrle created the “Kieffer Team” within RE/MAX Central: Alix Weeks (agent), Penny Thompson (broker, vacation coverage) and Lydia Kieffer (marketing specialist)! Lehrle volunteers with the Caribou Athletic Boosters, Northern Skiers, Presque Isle Rotary Club, BPW, Cary Auxiliary and TAMC Board. Lehrle and husband Rob Kieffer, owner of UIG Kieffer Insurance, and daughters Alison, Lydia and Ginger reside in Caribou.
April Caron has been in real estate 14 years. Her banking background, specializing in mortgage lending, has been instrumental in making her successful in her real estate career. Leisure time is spent enjoying family, mini horses, reading, relaxing and enjoying home with her husband, Conrad. Volunteering many hours with Cary Auxiliary, food pantry and other various church activities has kept April involved in the community. April looks forward to helping clients find the right home to meet their needs. April, with teammate Meagan, eagerly anticipate great things for the coming year!
Tim Adler is a real estate broker and has been working with buyers and sellers full-time for 10-plus years. In addition, Tim has 25-plus years of contract negotiation experience. One of his favorite parts of the profession is helping buyers get the home at the price they need. Tim grew up in New Sweden and attended UMaine and USM. He enjoys volunteering at the Nordic Heritage Center during biathlon events, coaching his daughter’s Little League team, fly fishing and bird hunting with his black lab, “Lucy.”
Born and raised here in Aroostook County, Josh Cheney loves the variety and challenge that a career in real estate brings. “I love to be able to serve people,” Josh says. “To be able to help them get to where they want to go.” Josh serves his community through Neighbors First, Inc, a local non-profit oriented toward alleviating poverty-related needs, both locally and in Central and South America. Josh lives with his wife Alex and son Thomas in Mapleton, where they enjoy growing weeds in their garden.
Leigh Smith attended MSAD 1 schools, then obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the business field. Leigh serves many civic organizations, chairs the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee, is a Presque Isle Rotary Club director and a Central Aroostook Young Farmers officer. Leigh’s experience as a business owner of rental properties, lawn care and landscaping service has provided knowledge in buying and selling real estate, making him a natural for his position with RE/MAX Central. Leigh grew up on the family potato farm of Scott and Diane Smith, earning a hard work ethic and positive attitude!
Having lived “away” for 26 years, Alexandra (Alix) Weeks is happy to be back in The County! While Alix operated stand-alone Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Jacksonville, Fla., her husband, Capt. Marc Weeks, USN, Ret., traveled the world commanding war ships. Alix was heavily involved with non-profits in Jacksonville, including the American Lung Association and the Daniel foster care program. Her franchise was recognized nationally for exceptional customer service, lending itself well to her new career as a licensed agent with the Kieffer Team. Alix and Marc love snowmobiling in The County!
Meagan Corriveau Irving recently became a licensed sales agent with RE/MAX Central. Teaming with April Caron, Meagan applies her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent, assisting with the marketing as well as helping buyers purchase properties. Meagan was previously involved in a family-owned business, Phil’s Florist. She was in charge of purchasing and used her quiet and comforting customer service skills with area plant lovers. Meagan is happily married to Robbie Irving, who is a partner in Irving Farms. They reside in her hometown of Caribou, along with their two children, Carter and Evelyn.
