TIOS  September schedule released

    The Take It Outside Series Adult programs has the September schedule ready. The following is a list of the upcoming trips being offered for adults ages 18 and over: Sept. 5, MIZPAH in Grand Isle; Sept. 6, Open Sky Adventures trip; Sept. 9, Ashland Lumberman’s Museum/Porter Seed Farm in Masardis; Sept. 12-14, Explore Trains, Churchill Dam Museum and canoe Chase Rapids in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway; Sept. 16, First Wind in Mars Hill tour and Hentosh Bronze tour; Sept. 18, Moose and Salmon; Sept 23., Old and New; Sept. 25, Red River Camps, Deboullie.

For more details regarding these trips, please log on to caribourec.org, find us on Facebook or come into the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center and pick up a flyer. Trips in October will be announced at a later date.

Caribou Adventure Challenge is Sept. 20

    The Caribou Adventure Challenge will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 beginning at the Otter Street Park and Ride.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event gets underway at 10 a.m., rain or shine. The fee is $15 for individuals or $40 for a family of four, with $5 for each additional family member. T-shirts will be given to the first 50 to sign up.
Participants can walk, jog or run this 5K challenge. Proceeds will benefit future exercise stations along the Collins Pond Fitness Loop.
The event is sponsored by Cary Rehab and Therapy Services and the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department. Call 493-4224 for more information.

Caribou Heritage Days coming Sept. 27

    Come join in on the celebration Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Downtown Mall in Caribou.
Food vendors and music will be on site, as well as antique and classic cars and tractors. For more information, call 493-4224.
