     TROMBLEY, Roy J., 97, PRESQUE ISLE, ME & FLORIDA, at Venice, FL, January 6, 2015. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Presque Isle. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle. 

    PRESQUE ISLE, ME & FLORIDA – Roy J. Trombley passed away at Tidewell Hospice Facility in Venice, FL, January 6, 2015. He was born on June 15, 1917, in Presque Isle, the son of Adolph Trombley and Victoria (Moran) Trombley and lived there most of his life.
    For many years, he owned and operated a successful construction and redi-mix concrete business in Presque Isle. At the beginning of WW II, he worked at Pratt and Whitney and the Atlas Construction Company in Connecticut. Roy was a talented mechanic and fabricator. When he returned to Maine, he patented and manufactured an electric hoist used in the harvest of potatoes.
    After he retired, he loved working in his garage in Florida, restoring vintage and wrecked cars until he was well into his nineties.
    He is survived by one son, Alan Trombley and his wife, Rebecca, of Chapman; three daughters, Geraldine Dorsey of Orrington, Lynne Walton and husband, Carroll, of Presque Isle, and Paula Leavitt and husband, David, of Troy; and a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Trombley of Presque Isle. He and Helen have many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Marjorie DeLoach of Conn., and Ruth Rowe of Calif.; three special in-laws, Blanche Keresy of Port Charlotte, FL, Gary Gould of Ansonia, Conn., and Gloria Spear of Arkansas.
    He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen Gould Trombley; his son, Richard Arthur Trombley; a son-in-law, Francis Dorsey; a great-grandson, Benjamin Walton; five brothers, Charles, Everett, Arthur, Edward and Frederick; and two sisters; Rosabelle Wood and Evelyn Powers.
