STACYVILLE – Anna “WeeWee” Pelkey, 89, died May 6, 2015, in Millinocket. She was born April 7, 1926, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Archie and Elizabeth (Tardif) Greenier.
Anna loved to fish, play Bean-o, do puzzles and games. She volunteered cleaning homes, cooked for others, always thought of others first and cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by ten children, Marilyn and Darrell Jones of Crystal, Barbara Pelletier and her husband, Louis of Island Falls, Brenda Qualey and her husband, Bernard, Sue McDonald and her husband, Alan all of Sherman, Francis Pelkey and Kathy King of East Millinocket, Carla Marshall and her husband, Paul of Stacyville, Mona Gallagher of Patten, Connie Chubbuck and Danny Russell of Island Falls, Peter Pelkey of Millinocket and Joseph Pelkey of Louisana; 56 grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Deschesne of Pittsfield and Esther Greenier of Sherman; and a brother-in-law, Donald and Vera Pelkey of Orrington. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; a daughter, Sandra Dube; a brother, Francis; and a grandson, Joseph.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Dicker officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 3151, Augusta, ME 04330.
