    Goodall, Brian D., 50, May 31, 2015.  Graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 19 at the Oakfield Cemetery, Oakfield.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    PT Brian GoodallAmerican Flag ColorOAKFIELD – Brian Douglas Goodall, 50, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, in Houlton. He was born October 5, 1964, in Cheverly, Maryland, the son of Merrill and Mildred Goodall.
    He grew up in Oakfield and graduated from Southern Aroostook High School with the class of 1983. Brian enlisted in the United States Navy and was with the Atlantic Fleet out of Norfolk, Virginia, serving aboard the USS Richard E. Byrd. Following his discharge, he attended Northern Maine Technical College, graduating with diplomas in electrical and plumbing and heating.
    Brian was always one to lend a hand and to put others above himself. He had a way with words that brought wisdom and compassion. He had a funny and infectious laugh and will be missed by all who knew him. Brian had a love for animals and he had a special dog “Gizmo,” whom he had for thirteen years as well as owning many cats over the years, with all of their names being “Bubba.”
    In addition to his mother, Mildred Goodall Gagnon, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Goodall; two grand-children, Adria Goodall and Logan Bulley, all of Houlton; two brothers, Merrill “Danny” Goodall of Bangor, Keith Goodall of Caribou; a sister, Tammy Geishecker and her husband, Kurt, of Cary Plantation; three nephews; special friends that include Bruce and Dawn Goodall, Robby and Beth Seward and Lawrence and Gina McDonald. Brian will also be missed by his dog “Elsa.” Brian was predeceased by his father, Merrill F. Goodall.
    A graveside service with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Friday June 19, 2015, at the Oakfield Cemetery in Oakfield, with Rev. Richard Bell officiating.
