WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced June 12 that Lucas Anderson, a Houlton native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Washington, D.C. office. Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Houlton High School and the son of Chris and Liz Anderson.

“Lucas is a terrific student and a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome him to Washington, D.C.,” said Senator Collins. “It is always an honor to give students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”
Anderson attends Bryant University where he is majoring in business administration with a focus on Human Resource Management. Upon graduation, Anderson hopes to pursue service programs on the West Coast to give back to the American community.
