Peggy Caparotta

     Peggy Caparotta a.k.a. Elizabeth Taylor, 57, of Connor TWP, Maine, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2015. Peggy was born June 6, 1958, to Albert Caparotta and Mary Lou Caparotta of Caribou.

 

     Peggy was an Elder, Past Vice- Chief and Treasurer of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs. Peggy deeply cared for her tribal community and was well known for her passionate voice.

     Peggy had a love for cooking, hosting family poker nights and she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. Peggy was well known for her bright smile, contagious laugh, vibrant red hair and lipstick.

     She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Caparotta of Caribou; her three children, Jennifer Kiandoli of Connor Twp, Justin Wimbush of Connor Twp and Akisha Clark of Chicago, Illinois; her four grandchildren, Elijah Wimbush, Julius

    Caparotta and Jazlyn Dow- Caparotta of Connor Twp and her youngest pride and joy, Leland Wimbush of Revere, Massachusetts; three brothers, Patrick Caparotta Sr. of Presque Isle, Anthony Caparotta and Kenneth Caparotta, both of Caribou; four sisters, Mary Lorraine Blaney Caparotta, Karen Lee Caparotta, and Deborah Vicario, all of Connor Twp, and Susan Harps of Lewiston; also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She is now dancing in the clouds with her late husband, Bernard Wimbush and daughter, Natalie Pierce.
