FLORAHOME, FL – Ralph Rooney, 77, died April 26, 2016. He was born in Houlton, ME, to Bernice (Haggerty) Rooney and Ralph Rooney.
He passed his love of music and his skills as a carpenter on to his children.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Lawrence Rooney, Leona Clark and Laura Briggs; and grandson, Thomas Philbrick.
He is survived by his sister, Ethel Schools of Littleton; his brothers, John Rooney and wife, Dawna of Presque Isle, and Marim Rooney and his wife, Ruth of Hampden. He is also survived by his six children, Patty Philbrick and her partner, Maurice Hewitt of Florahome, FL, Michael Rooney of Easton, Peter Rooney and his partner, Joann Cheney of Bethlehem, CT, Barbara Michaud and her husband, Jerry of Perham, Laura Kearney and her husband, Tim of East Hampton, CT, and Christopher Rooney and his wife, Jodie of Presque Isle; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many loved ones.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 1 p.m., at Evergreen Cemetery on Smyrna Street in Houlton, Maine.
