CRX trips

The following Caribou Rec Extreme programs are accepting registrations:

Mountain biking, for grades 6-11, runs July 18-21. Ride lengths will vary from three to 17 miles. Participants should expect lots of swimming, grilling and ice cream nearly every day.The fee is $35 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

A Baxter State Park trip for grades 6-7 runs July 26-28 and another for grades 8-11 runs Aug. 2-4, 2016. Participants will climb Mt. Katahdin and do some camping, swimming and hiking. The fee is $75 for residents and $100 for non-residents.

A North Maine Woods two-night fly fishing outing is scheduled for Sept. 16-18 and is for youths in grades 5-11. Participants will fish from canoes and are required to have their own fishing equipment. Instruction is provided. The fee is $120.

A Chimney Pond climbing trip and Mt. Katahdin fall summit will take place Oct. 6-8, 2016 and is for youths in grades 5-11. The fee is $75.
