Senior Planning Center opens new PI office

     PRESQUE ISLE — In order to meet the growing needs of seniors in northern Maine, the Senior Planning Center will now be offering their services at 572 Main St. in Presque Isle, beginning on Monday, Aug. 1.

     The business was founded in August 2012 in Farmington by Anthony Arruda. With locations now in Farmington, Rumford and Presque Isle, along with 18 agents throughout the state, the company’s focus is on being helpful and offering solutions to the issues that many seniors face.

     Local agents Susan and David Staples will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice on the many options clients have regarding topics such as the Affordable Care Act, Medicare Advantage, Medicare supplements, Part D prescription plans, retirement planning and life insurance, among other issues. The advice they give is always at no cost.

     For the time being, in addition to opening day Monday, Aug. 1, the local office’s hours will be Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. In addition to the normal office hours, they also offer in-home appointments. Starting Sept. 26, the center will be open Monday through Friday.

     The Senior Planning Center does primarily focus on the needs of seniors, but work with people of all ages.
