HOULTON — Bonnie Lou Dwyer, 78, went to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior the 11th day of January, 2017, at Houlton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Linneus on March 28, 1938, the daughter of Carl and Ella (Bustard) McGuire.

Along with her husband of 57 years, Wayne Dwyer, Bonnie lovingly raised her family in their lifelong family home on the Bangor Road in Linneus. There was always room at the table in Bonnie’s kitchen where we gathered nightly to share the day’s stories, laugh and tease one another, sing songs as she strummed the guitar and enjoy hearty meals served with her delicious homemade rolls. Bonnie expressed her lifelong faith by taking in those in need (including her many dogs, cats and horses), her spirit of forgiveness and her kind and loving nature. No one loved, enjoyed, and cared for their family more than Bonnie. We will miss her mischievous sense of humor, the twinkle in her eyes when she smiled and the unconditional love she gave so freely. We love and miss you Mom.

She is survived by daughters, Waneta and Edward Archer of Bangor, Cindy and Larry Shaw of Hodgdon, Peggy and Rick Gentle of Eddington and Meredith and Robbie Briggs of Houlton; sons Kenneth and Diane Dwyer, Bruce and Candy Dwyer all of Linneus and Tyler Dwyer of Houlton and Dawson Shaw of Linneus; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters Shirley Thompson of CT, Joanne Howe of Ludlow; brother Gene and Lana McGuire of Linneus; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents; husband Wayne Dwyer; daughter Marion Sanford; sister Marion Figgins; four brothers, Darrell McGuire, Floyd McGuire, Philip McGuire and Gerald McGuire.
