To the editor:
On May 23, a small number of veterans and volunteers met at Veterans Memorial Park [in Presque Isle] to improve the entranceway.
A special thanks to Chris Allen at Allen’s Environmental for donating the material that was used, and also for donating the use of his truck for hauling material. Also, a special thank you to Chris’ father, Kenny Allen, for helping load material onto the truck.
I would like to give thanks to Al Saucier for donating his time and equipment to help with the job.
A very special thank you to all who volunteer.
