EASTON, Maine — State police are encouraging drivers in Easton to avoid the intersection of the Station and Richardson roads due to a train derailment.

Railway crews were moving a section of empty rail cars when one rail car came off the tracks near the intersection of the two roads Wednesday morning, according to the Maine State Police.

The derailment left one car blocking a lane on Station Road.

Police are limiting traffic on Station Road to one lane for at least several hours Wednesday afternoon and suggest that drivers find alternate routes.

No one was injured in the derailment, according to state police.
