Panthers face challenges at Madawaska

Central Aroostook soccer teams play the second day of back-to-back road games Friday as they make the trip to Madawaska 24 hours after competing in Ashland.

The Owl teams are both coming off victories over Easton and Wisdom to begin the campaign. The Panthers are also unbeaten with 3-0 marks. Both the boys and girls stopped Ashland Thursday night and also own wins over Washburn and Fort Fairfield.

The matches in Madawaska begin at 5 p.m. The girls will play first and the boys follow at 7 p.m.

Easton is in St. Agatha to square off against Wisdom Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. The Bear boys are 1-1 and the girls are 0-2. Both Pioneer squads hold 1-1 records early in the season.

On Saturday, Ashland is back to work, traveling to Fort Fairfield to meet up against the Tigers. Both games will be play simultaneously at 1 p.m. Washburn is at Van Buren, with the girls game first at 5 p.m. and the boys matchup scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
