PI police seek information about pedestrian hit and run

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Police Department is asking for help from the public in locating the driver and vehicle that hit a pedestrian on Davis Street on Saturday, Jan. 5.

Around 7:25 p.m. Saturday, a person walking on Davis Street reported being hit by a car while heading toward Main Street, according to a post by the Presque Isle Police Department.

The car did not stop after the incident and may have damage to its front passenger side, according to police.

The pedestrian who was hit declined medical attention at the scene, but the next day visited Northern Light AR Gould Hospital for treatment of bumps, bruises and associated pain, according to Presque Isle Interim Police Chief Laurie Kelly.
