Envirothon teams score at regionals, states

The Easton High School Envirothon teams competed at the northern regional Envirothon meet in Presque Isle on Thursday, May 23. 

The Team 1 members placed second overall behind first-place winners from Lee Academy. Easton qualified to compete at the state competition on May 31, when they placed sixth overall and placed first on the current issue, “Agriculture and Technology to Feed The World.”  

Team 1 members competing at regionals were Alexis Pelkey, Austin Thibeault, Matt Pangburn, Colton Harding and Cecilia Morin.  Team 1 members competing at the state level were Alexis Pelkey, Colton Harding and Cecilia Morin.

At the northern regional event, Team 2 members scored first place on the current issue. Team 2 members were Logan Bernier, Jenna Cochran, Ben Wipperman, Nickie Deschaine and Grace Flewelling. 

Bone Builders  

Bone Builders class will meet Mondays and Fridays starting at 9:45 in the Recreation Room at the Manor.  Bone Builders is a free strength training, balance and exercise program. To be successful, one should commit to attending twice a week for six months.  Each one-hour classes, held twice a week will increase muscle strength, balance and bone density. This program is offered through Area on Aging, Cary Medical Center & Easton Recreation Department.  FMI contact Julia Allen.
