Limestone holding special selectperson election on Nov. 5

LIMESTONE, Maine — Limestone officials last month approved a warrant for a special election on Nov. 5 for one selectperson until the end of the current term.

The current selectboard approved the warrant on Oct. 24 during an emergency meeting, and an official at the town office said this is due to Selectman Tom Albert stepping down because he is in a relationship with interim Town Manager Vicki Page.

The newly elected selectperson will serve until June of next year.
