Sweatshirt sales help out Easton Rec

It’s that time of year that folks start looking for sweatshirts for warmth, and as Christmas gifts.  We will sell traditional Easton Bear on Royal Blue available in 3 styles cotton crew neck, cotton hoodie and polyester hoodie (similar to Under Armour). 

New this year also ordering sweatshirts with “Easton Recreation” on teal. It will be nice to have a long-sleeve, warmer option when we wear these through the winter months for recreation trips.  Order will be available for pick-up starting December 16. Pre-payment is not required, but please remember you must pick up by December 20th. Thanks for your cooperation. Prices are as follows: cotton crew: $20, cotton royal hoodie: $26, polyester hoodie: $32, teal hoodie:  $26, name on back: $5. Sizes available include: youth X-small 4-6 (blue only), youth small 6-8, youth medium 10-12, youth large 14-16, adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult X-large, adult XX-large and up are additional funds.

Senior Christmas Dinner

On Thursday, Dec. 5, Easton senior citizens are invited by the Easton School Department for a Christmas meal served by the cafeteria staff.  Please RSVP for lunch to 488-7701. Lunch will be served at approximately 12:45 (immediately follow the veterans’ meal).   

Good News Club 

Club will meet each Thursday until Dec. 19 after school until 4:15 at the Rec.  Center. Good News Club is affiliated with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Each afternoon of club, there will have an exciting time of games, snacks, songs and Bible stories. Theme for this six-week program is “Be Strong”. We will learn about how Daniel and his friends chose to “be strong” when faced with tough choices.  On the sixth week of club they will celebrate with a Christmas party. Come join in the fun. Open to grade 1 and up. Please email recreation@eastonme.com so we can know how many to prepare for. This program is free of charge.

Karate Class  

Karate classes will be held on Mondays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16 at the Recreation Center after school until 4:15 p.m. The cost is $10 for all three weeks.  Children must have a note to attend from school. Open to grade one and up. Must have eight enrolled to offer. To-Shin Do is based on ancient warrior disciplines.  At the same time, theirs is a modern approach to handling today’s threats. Dress in comfortable clothes to easily move. Taught by Brett Varnum.

Craft Fair

Easton’s Annual Craft Fair. Dec 7th. 8 to 3 pm. Spaces are $25 a piece. 10 by 10 spots. Email me at crazycountygirl96@gmail.com or call Melissa at 207-227-4093. The money for spots goes to the Paige Aerin Lento Memorial Scholarship.
