Caribou boys finish regular season unbeaten

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Viking boys ended their regular season with an unbeaten record following an 82-56 victory over Presque Isle Friday, Feb. 26.

Caribou ended the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and is the top seed heading into the upcoming County playoffs.

For Caribou, Sawyer Deprey scored an incredible 43 points during the game as he nearly single-handedly beat the Wildcats. Carter Quist, Cory Hebert and Caleb Espling each scored 10.

Top scorers for Presque Isle were Malachi Cummings with 21 points, Noah Yarema had 12, and Xavier McAtee added 11. 

By the end of the first quarter, Caribou had twice as many points as Presque Isle with a total of 12 to 24. The Vikings maintained their strong lead throughout the game, and by half time the total was 44-28 in Caribou’s favor, and 66-48 at the end of the third quarter.
