Fort Fairfield girls roll past Bangor Christian in D North prelim

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The No. 5 Fort Fairfield girls advanced to the Class D North quarterfinals following Friday afternoon’s 7-0 victory over No. 12 Bangor Christian.

The Tigers (11-3-1) advance to the quarterfinals Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest against No. 4 Madawaska (9-5). Fort Fairfield beat Madawaska 5-1 at home, but fell 3-0 at Madawaska during the regular season.

In Friday’s preliminary contest, Jayde McKenney had three goals; Sarah McShea added two goals; Camryn Ala had a goal and two assists; and Emma Kilcollins had one goal.

Eva Callioras and Brittany Bragg shared time in net earning the shutout for the Tigers.
