PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — More than 40 different baskets and a wide range of prizes added up to fun for all at the Aroostook Shrine Club when it held its Easter Basket Feztival April 2-3 and 8-10.

The event helped raise money for the organization so that they can continue to hold events like the Presque Isle Circus, trunk or treat event, or the gun raffle. The Shrine club also participates in parades throughout the year.

The Aroostook Shrine Club is a local chapter of the Anah Temple Shriners based in Bangor. The main goal of the organization is philanthropy, and donating to children’s hospitals.

The event consisted of 60 different baskets donated from community organizations, with a large selection of goodies to win. Some baskets contained sweet treats, while others contained heavy duty grills and even an outdoor fire pit.

Participants were able to buy tickets and drop them into any basket they wanted, with the winners being drawn over Facebook Live. Kids were also able to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

“On behalf of the Aroostook Shrine Club, I would like to thank everyone who participated and showed their support for this event,” said Aroostook Shrine Club President Richard Wark. “It is great to see the community come together.”
