WADE, Maine — Around 15 people turned up for Wade’s annual town meeting on Wednesday, March 22.

The moderator was Jeremiah McIntosh, who was sworn in by the town clerk.

The town passed an annual 2023 budget of $292,146, and voters reelected Dwayne Dow to the only position available on the town’s select board, according to select board member Donna Turner.

Residents discussed an increase in the ambulance subsidy by $11,630. Wade, like Mapleton, Easton and Washburn, contracts with Presque Isle for ambulance service.

Residents voted to pass all 21 articles on the town warrant as written.
