NEW SWEDEN and STOCKHOLM, Maine — New Sweden and Stockholm have announced their election and annual town meeting dates.
On Tuesday, June 13, Stockholm will hold its elections from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the town office, located at 62 School St. Rob Barnet is running unopposed for a three-year term on the town’s Select Board.
At 6 p.m. June 14, residents will vote on the town’s annual budget. That meeting will also be held at the town office.
In New Sweden, incumbent Don Cote is running for a three-year term on the select board. David White is also on the ballot for that term.
Though no residents appear on the ballot for school committee, one will be elected through a write-in vote.
Election polls will be open June 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town office, located at 50 Station Road. The annual town meeting will be held Thursday, June 15 at 6 p.m., also at the town office.
Both New Sweden and Stockholm indicated that budget warrant articles are available for viewing at their town offices.
