3-Day Outlook: Wednesday, May 1 – Friday, May 3

Low pressure south of Cape Cod will move out-to-sea with high pressure building down from the north into the Saint John Valley. Partly cloudy skies overspread the region tonight with partly sunny skies Thursday morning becoming mostly cloudy as the day progresses thanks to a weak low tracking towards southern New England to our west. Some isolated showers are possible Thursday night from this system. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies are expected Friday as a moisture circulating around low pressure to the east keeping plenty of clouds across the Valley heading into the weekend.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a 10 percent chance for showers. Low near 36. North wind at 3 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Low near 40. Northeast to north wind 0-5 mph.

High pressure builds across the Maritimes with moisture keeping partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies across the St. John Valley Saturday and Sunday. An occluding low pressure system approaches Sunday-Monday with scattered showers possible for the Valley Sunday afternoon through Monday. Partly sunny skies Monday with showers become partly cloudy with showers Monday night. Partly sunny skies with a slight chance for showers is expected Tuesday as an upper trough crosses the Northeast US behind the low pressure system.
