Police are investigating leads but have no answers in the case of missing New Sweden teenager Stefanie Damron, officials said Tuesday.

Damron, now 14, was last seen leaving her New Sweden home and heading into the woods on the West Road on Sept. 23. Family members reported her missing the next day.

Despite a month of searching, Damron remains missing, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Tuesday.

Troopers are working with the Major Crimes Unit North, the Computer Crimes Unit and FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team, Moss said. The Maine Warden Service and police dog units have searched areas near where Damron was seen last.

Investigators have followed leads from Maine, elsewhere in the U.S. and Canada, she said.

Few details are known about the case. Previous updates have said only that the search continues.

Police described Damron as 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair.

She was wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved blue shirt and black Harley Davidson boots when she disappeared, police said.

The FBI’s Boston Field Office issued a missing person poster.

Anyone with any information about Damron’s whereabouts should call the Maine State Police Houlton Barracks at 1-800-924-2261 or 207-532-5400. People can also submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
