Annual harvest supper is Saturday

This Saturday evening, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m., the State Road Advent Christian Church will hold its annual harvest supper.  There is no charge for the dinner but donations are requested.

The custom of the church is to use donations received at the supper each year to help a family with substantial needs. This year’s proceeds will benefit Matt Dionne and family.  Dionne was struck by a vehicle while walking home last year and the family has had a trying year. This is a great opportunity for the church to share God’s love with a local family that finds itself in a rough spot.

Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy turkey, mashed potato, vegetable, roll, stuffing and pies for dessert. All donations are welcome.

Hunters breakfast

The Mapleton Daze second annual hunters breakfast will be held at the Lions Hall on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 10 a.m. or until the food is gone.

The menu will consist of a breakfast buffet filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, homemade baked beans, pancakes, toast, coffee, juice and water.

6th annual auction

The Mapleton Daze Committee will conduct its sixth annual online silent auction from Nov. 11 to Nov. 13. Bidding will start Monday, Nov. 11, at 8 a.m., and will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Bidders submitting the highest bids at the end of the silent auction win the items bid on. All funds raised will go towards Mapleton Daze Events in June 2025.

To donate auction items, contact Lynnelle Foster or message her using the Mapleton Daze Facebook page.
