Besides national and Maine races, local voters will mark their ballots Tuesday in statewide and local questions.
Here’s a look at Maine legislative and Aroostook County races for Presque Isle and surrounding towns.
In state Senate District 1, Sue Bernard, R-Caribou, and Vaughn McLaughlin, D-Fort Fairfield are vying to replace the seat that will be vacated by Maine Senate President Troy Jackson.
Running for state Senate District 2, incumbent Harold “Trey” Stewart, R-Presque Isle, and Matthew Rush, D-Houlton.
Local Maine House races include the following: District 1, Lucien Daigle, R-Fort Kent, and John Martin, D-Eagle Lake; District 3, Mark Babin, R-Fort Fairfield, and David McCrea, D-Fort Fairfield; District 4, Timothy Guerrette, R-Caribou, and Samantha Paradis, D-Caribou; District 5, Kevin Freeman, D-Presque Isle, and incumbent Joseph Underwood, R-Presque Isle; and District 6, Donald Ardell, R-Monticello, and Melanie Tompkins, D-Mapleton.
County-wide choices on the ballots will include: Aroostook County Sheriff, with incumbent Peter Johnson, R-Presque Isle, running unopposed; judge of probate, Michael Carpenter, D-Houlton, unopposed; register of probate, April Duffy, D-Houlton, and Catherine Goff, R-Monticello; and Aroostook County Finance Committee, write-ins only.
Candidates for Aroostook County Commissioner are, District 2, Paul Underwood, R-Presque Isle, unopposed; and District 3, Daniel Deveau, R-Cyr Plantation, and Norman Fournier, D-Wallagrass.

In Fort Fairfield, three are running for town council seats to be vacated by longtime councilors Kevin Pelletier and James Ouellette. Vying for the two three-year terms are Brianne Bubar, Michael Greenlaw and Billie Jo Sharpe.

Castle Hill: Mapleton Fire Department, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Chapman: Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Easton: Odd Fellows Hall, Station Road, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fort Fairfield: Fort Fairfield Community Center gym, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mapleton: Mapleton Fire Department, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mars Hill: Mars Hill Community Center, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Portage Lake: Portage Town Hall, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Presque Isle: Sargent Family Community Center, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Washburn: Washburn Municipal Building, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
