3-Day Outlook: Wednesday, Jan. 8-Friday, Jan. 10

A blocking pattern with low pressure to the northeast and high pressure to the west persists through the end of the period. Moisture and disturbances circulating around the low will bring the likelihood of light snow to the Valley today into tonight. Snow tapers to snow showers Thursday with areas of blowing snow possible. Brisk northwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts 25-35 mph are possible. Cloudy skies become mostly cloudy by Thursday evening and partly sunny by Friday afternoon. Partly cloudy skies are expected Friday night into Saturday.
