Teen dies after tractor strikes him in St. Agatha

ST. AGATHA, Maine — A 13-year old boy was killed Sunday when he was struck by a moving tractor in the Aroostook County town of St. Agatha. 

“Preliminary investigation is that a juvenile was on foot around the rear of the tractor as it was being operated and was struck by the tractor,” said Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety. 

The crash happened on Chasse Road at roughly 12:41 pm on Sunday, March 9, according to Moss.

The teen was taken to a hospital in Fort Kent where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, Moss said.
