Presque Isle city manager resigns for 2nd time

Presque Isle is once again searching for a leader following the resignation of City Manager Tyler Brown.

City councilors accepted the resignation during an executive session at a special meeting on March 19, Public Information Officer Kim Smith said Monday.

This is the second time in a year Brown has resigned.

The former Delta Airlines operations manager was hired last February as city manager. He abruptly resigned on March 8 last year, citing personal reasons, then returned to the position a week later after a lengthy meeting with councilors.

City officials are releasing no further information and have no comment at this time, Smith said.

Brown was not at city hall on Monday, she said.

Brown did not return a request for comment, though his cellphone message still identified him as Presque Isle’s city manager.
