HOULTON, Maine — A Linneus man and an unidentified juvenile were arrested on Franklin Avenue on Tuesday after an alleged robbery last month, according to the Houlton Police Department.

Nicholas D. McGuire, 21, was charged with a Class A robbery after allegedly waking two residents of Court Street and demanding money while showing a weapon, police said.

According to police, officers responded to a call for assistance at 9 Court St. in the early morning hours of March 22. When they arrived, the two victims said the suspect had fled the area.

Police were not immediately able to find the suspect.

During their investigation, officers identified one suspect and a second person who may have been involved.

The Aroostook County District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for McGuire, who was near 67 Franklin Ave. on April 1. The male juvenile was also arrested for outstanding warrants, according to police, who said the investigation is ongoing.

McGuire was brought to the Aroostook County Jail. Bail was initially set at $5,000 and later modified to $1,000 with a pre-trial contract.

If convicted of a Class A crime, McGuire could serve up to 30 years in prison.
