ORIENT, Maine — Two people were killed and a third was airlifted to Bangor following a collision Thursday on Route 1 in Orient.
Dale Foley Sr., 66, and Donna Foley, 61, both of Orient, were killed. Jayson Brewer, 50, of
Weston was flown to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Brewer was allegedly driving a 2022 Dodge Ram south in the wrong lane and struck the 2019 Jeep Compass driven by Dale Foley, according to police.
The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Danforth Ambulance, Southern Aroostook Ambulance, and fire departments from Danforth, Hodgdon and Houlton.
The crash was reconstructed by the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
No further details of the crash are available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
