A structure fire in Easton over the weekend completely destroyed a house.

The Fort Fairfield Fire Department received a report of a fire at 348 Houlton Road around 2:18 a.m. Saturday. Crews found a two-story building fully engulfed upon arrival.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, remaining at the scene for roughly six hours,  according to the fire department, but the building was deemed a total loss.

All of the building’s residents were safely outside by the time the fire department arrived. No injuries were reported. The Easton, Presque Isle and Limestone fire departments all provided mutual aid.

The fire appears to have started in the garage and spread to the house, the Fort Fairfield Fire Department said. The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious.
