FRENCHVILLE, Maine — A serious crash closed a portion of Route 1 in Frenchville for a part of Thursday morning, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Police announced roughly two hours later that the road had reopened.
The incident occurred in the area of 225 Route 1, and officials were rerouting traffic onto Star Barn Road.
Police had asked drivers traveling through the area to seek an alternate route. The sheriff’s office did not provide any additional information about the incident in a Facebook post announcing the closure.
