Wednesday-Friday
Some river valley fog is evident on satellite imagery this morning along the Saint John, Allagash, and other area waterways. Fog will dissipate as the morning progresses with high pressure over the region this morning sliding southeastwards into the southern Maritimes as the day progresses. Tonight, mostly clear skies become partly cloudy late as a cold front moves towards the Valley from the northwest. Patchy fog, mainly along area rivers, will be possible again early Thursday.
The cold front slides across the area Thursday morning with a spotty shower here and there, but little in the way of appreciable precipitation. Skies become mostly sunny as a new ridge of high pressure builds across the St. John Valley from Quebec. Clear skies with patchy fog overnight are expected Thursday night into Friday morning.
Mostly sunny skies and seasonable conditions are expected Friday with mostly clear skies and calm winds Friday night allowing for river and lake fog to form again heading into Saturday morning.
Saturday – Tuesday
Partly cloudy to partly sunny skies are expected Saturday as high pressure moves away. An upper trough approaches Saturday night bringing partly cloudy skies with scattered showers possible late. Partly sunny skies overspread the region Sunday with a chance of scattered showers. Isolated showers are possible overnight into Monday as the trough moves across the area. High pressure builds across the region Monday through Tuesday with mostly clear/partly cloudy skies Monday, partly cloudy skies Monday night, and mostly sunny skies Tuesday.
