On Saturday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m., the State Road Advent Christian Church will host its annual harvest supper.
The menu will include turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls, stuffing and pies for dessert.
Each year, the supper aims to share God’s love and bounty with local families who find themselves in challenging circumstances. All the donations for the supper will benefit families and individuals the church membership has been praying for since last November’s harvest meal.

All donations are welcome, and everyone is invited to gather together over a delicious Thanksgiving meal, which is a blessing to those who attend and those who are helped by the donations given.
Fall activities
Last weekend the Mapleton Daze Committee held a very successful fall craft and vendor festival at the Mapleton Elementary School. The committee thanks to all who came out to support Mapleton Daze 2026 by supporting the crafters and vendors at the festival.
Trunk-or-treat Friday
The Mapleton Daze Committee will host their first Trunk or Treat event this Friday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mapleton Elementary School playground.
The committee invites kids to don their Halloween costumes and come trunk-or-treat with them.
Members also seek businesses, organizations or people to participate. Anyone who would like to join them with a car that is decorated and hand out candy should message The Mapleton Daze Facebook page OR reach out to Lynnelle Foster.
Hunters breakfast
The next season change is coming soon when deer hunting season opens. Again this year, the Mapleton Daze Committee will host their annual hunters breakfast from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Lions Hall.
This will be the third hunters breakfast the committee has hosted. The menu will consist of a breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, homemade baked beans, pancakes, toast, coffee, juice and water.
Hunters and non-hunters alike are invited.
