Autumn brings cold nights, breezy days and, in Aroostook County, it also brings the Central Aroostook Humane Society’s annual fundraiser, Toast for Tails, formerly known as the “Toast to the Animals.”
This year’s fundraiser will be held at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Campus Center from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.
All proceeds from this event will go to the shelter to help with day-to-day operations and to provide much needed supplies to all of the animals we house. Funds from Toast for Tails will also support the brand-new Spay and Neuter Clinic that is currently under construction at the Humane Society location.
Wear your favorite dress or your best suit for a night filled with food, drinks and a whole lot of fun. This is a catered event and refreshments are included with your admission. You must be 21 or older to attend, as there will be a cash bar available to attendees. So, get ready to paw-ty the night away as we play all your favorite musical hits.
The excitement continues with a live auction, a silent auction, and a lottery board that’s sure to make your tail wag. Upon entry, you’ll have the option to buy tickets for both the silent auction as well as the lottery board. Once you’ve purchased your silent auction tickets, you’ll place them in the bucket in front of the item that you’d like to win.
After scrumptious appetizers, we’ll begin the live auction of our biggest ticket items. Then we’ll draw the winners for both the silent auction and the lottery board.
Interested in supporting the Humane Society another way? We are still in search of Level 3 sponsors. As a Level 3 sponsor, you will receive six complimentary tickets to this event, in addition to 12 silent auction tickets and a special “thank you” from all of us at the Humane Society. As an extra special bonus, you’ll even get first dibs on food, you lucky dog.
We are also still seeking standout donations for our auction, specifically premium experiences and luxury items. Please contact Christen DeLong at 207-227-3433 if you would like to donate an exclusive experience or an exceptional item for this auction.
We hope to see you there for an unforgettable evening in support of the Humane Society. Your support and generosity create a profound impact on the animals housed in our shelter.
Every ticket purchased, auction bid placed and donation made help us to continue to provide much needed care to the animals in our community.
So, here’s our toast to you, and to creating a safe haven for our pets in need until they can find their forever home.
