State police recover stolen tools in car search

HOULTON, Maine — Maine State Police from Troop F recovered stolen property in two separate cases on July 25. 

Police executed a search warrant on a car believed to have been involved in a burglary, during which they found assorted hand tools, household accessories and other goods. The property is believed to have been stolen from the southern Aroostook or northern Penobscot areas, police said.

In a separate search, police found a large welder, also believed to be stolen property. 

Police are currently looking for the rightful owners of the tools. Anyone with information should contact Troop F headquarters at 207-532-5400.
