Rifle and Pistol Club holds Winter Shoot

   The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club held their semi-annual potluck supper on Sunday, Dec. 2. At that time, members had the opportunity to register for the Winter Shoot, which began on Sunday, Dec. 9. The Indoor Bullseye shooting consists of the following events: Slow, timed and rapid fire matches employing a 22 semi-automatic pistol against a Slow Fire Target or a 50 FT. Timed and Rapid Fire Pistol Target; center fire matches using either a center fire revolver or semi-automatic pistol against a Slow Fire Target; and 22 rim fire rifle matches using a Slow Fire Target. For 16 weeks, contestants will demonstrate skills in friendly safe competition.
