Special train — A special train will be run from Patten to Houlton Friday evening to bring the Patten basketball team and a crowd of support to the game to be played with Ricker Classical Institute. In the game played at Patten two weeks ago, Ricker was defeated 15-14. The game promised to be a fast one.
No show — By the request of the selectmen, the Bijou Theater management refrained from giving the feature film showing of the history of the Thaw tragedy Friday and Saturday. This was advertised as the greatest feature film of the season and those looking for the sensational were planning to attend. Had it been run there’s no doubt that the Bijou coffers would have been full to overflowing.
