Patten couple face multiple charges

    PATTEN — Multiple charges are facing a Patten couple arrested by the Maine State Police last week.
    According to information released April 10, Maine State Police executed a search warrant at the South Patten Road home of Cristofer Lane and Beth Grant. Lane, 22, was wanted in connection with two outstanding warrants for failing to appear on motor vehicles charges.
    During a search of the home, Lane was arrested and investigators discovered drug paraphernalia, as well as, a number of marijuana plants.
    As a result, Lane’s girlfriend, Grant, 27, was also charged with Class D marijuana cultivation and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in Millinocket District Court June 4.
    Lane was arrested and transported to Aroostook County Jail. He is also being charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an April 1 incident on Main Street in Patten.
    Trooper Tim Saucier is the primary investigator in this case; he was assisted by Deputy Peter Stone of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
