Meditation sessions
PRESQUE ISLE – The University of Maine at Presque Isle will be hosting free, ongoing meditation sessions for members of the campus and community. The informal workshops, facilitated by Dr. Lynn Eldershaw, assistant professor of sociology, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings beginning Jan. 17 through May 1 in South Hall, room 311. According to Eldershaw, meditation is especially helpful in improving focus and concentration.
“It is ideally suited to help manage our busy lives and help clear the clutter of our frantic days,” Eldershaw said.
Each meeting will consist of two brief meditation sessions interspersed with a reading and discussion.
All are welcome and meditation instruction is available on request.
