RACEY CAR — John Folsom, left, Art Myers and Rose Myers admired the red Ferrari that was one of two race cars on display Saturday at the grand opening of Hogan Tire’s new truck parts division. Folsom remarked that “few people in Houlton would ever have a chance to see a car like this up close except on TV.” He added that it was “not too good on mileage at only two miles per gallon for its 800 horsepower Ferrari engine. But it does go over 215 mph.”

Tom Graham of Ashland, left, checked out the new showroom at Hogan Tire which celebrated the grand opening of its heavy duty truck parts division Saturday. Most people were outside looking at the race cars and enjoying grilled hot dogs, salads, games, special deals, door prizes and giveaways. Graham said he has “done business with Hogan Tire for years.” Also seen are Dave Acott, center, a salesman, and Jody Anderson, co-owner. Hogan Tire expanded its services and saved several jobs in town when it bought out Leon Little and Sons.
