Freedom from forced vaccinations

To the editor:
    Doug Thomas has proposed a bill that would keep the citizens of Maine free from forced vaccinations for H1N1 flu. I support it.
    The idea that this had to be legislated in the first place is proposterous. What kind of society have we become, and what sort of government have we stood by and allowed to become ?
    When women first started calling out for the right to abortions, they declared that our bodies are our own and nobody has the right to intercede in that area, either bodily or legislatively. Did that apply only to women, and only at that time ?
    Please stand up for the freedom of choice, just as valuable and valid as it was to everyone who voted for “choice” decades ago.
