Carmichael graduates
Air National Guard Airman Nicholas L. Carmichael graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Percy and Karen Carmichael of Westridge Road, Littleton.
Carmichael is a 2006 graduate of Houlton High School.
Sennett returns
Army National Guard Spec. Joshua A. Sennett is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraqi or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.
The soldiers return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.
Sennett, a chaplain assistant, is a member of the 286th Combat Support and Sustainment Battalion, Bangor. He has served in the military for five years.
He is the son of Bernard and Beverly Sennett of Houlton.The specialist is a 1993 graduate of Houlton High School.
