On Saturday, the Greater Houlton Christian Academy cross-country runners participated in the Caribou Invitational Cross-Country Meet.
Destinee Neureuther of GHCA finished the three-mile run in 24:15.63 (eighth in her division) and teammate Whitney Cote was clocked at 25:14.81 (ninth in her category).

For the GHCA boys, Micah Wiley came in at 20:30.27 (10th in his division), while teammates Russell Socoby finished in a time of 21:21.31 (eighth in his category); Isaiah Straubel was clocked at 25:46.75 (ninth in his grouping).
Runners from Washburn, Limestone, Fort Kent and Hodgdon joined host GHCA in a 3.1-mile cross-country meet at Community Park in Houlton last Tuesday.
Washburn runners took the top honors, as Nick Bragg finished first for the boys with a time of 20:31, while Carsyn Koch came across the finish line for the girls in a time of 22:40.
Wiley of GHCA was runner-up to Bragg in a time of 20:55. Rounding out the top 10 were: Limestone’s Jack Seguin, 21:36; Fort Kent’s Joey Fishman, 21:37; Limestone’s Noah Entwisle, 22:25; Washburn’s Kyle Huston, 22:30; Limestone’s Seth Lochman, 22:37; Fort Kent’s Scott Whitney, 23:50; GHCA’s Socoby, 23:54 and Washburn’s Cameron Huston, 24:19.
Other male runners were: Washburn’s Kevin Carlson, 24:36; Fort Kent’s Eric Deschene, 25:29; Limestone’s Justin Thompson, 26:30; GHCA’s Ethan Holmes, 26:52; Washburn’s Kyle McLaughlin, 30:47; Fort Kent’s Matt Rioux, 33:20 and GHCA’s Jordan Cummings, 35:53.

Following Koch was Limestone’s Lucy Wilcox and Helen Roberts with times of 24:05 and 25:31, respectively. Fourth was GHCA’s Destinee Neureuther, 25:34 and fifth, Whitney Cote, 26:43. Finishing the girls’ division were Washburn’s Anna Carlson, 30:53 and Limestone’s Rebecca King, 34:09.
