    PT Jay HardyHOULTON – Gerald “Jay” Hardy, 51, died unexpectedly November 7, 2013, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 24, 1962, in Houlton, the son of Vinal G. and Audrey (Paul) Hardy.
    Jay was a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians and was employed by the Maliseet Housing Authority. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed concrete work, becoming a master at it.
    Jay is survived by his mother, Audrey of Fredericton, NB; his children, Rick Belile of Bangor, Joseph Hardy and Shawn Coty of Houlton; his fiancé, Marie Hanson; four brothers Patrick, Calvin, Timothy and Earl; four sisters, Brenda Commander, Lorraine Hardy, Deana MacPherson and Lisa Hardy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father and his brother Jeffrey.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev.
