To the editor:
This election cycle is very important as is always the case. I am writing to encourage the voters of District 5, Maine State House of Representatives to cast a vote for Beth Michaud. I have known Beth for several years and in many different capacities. Beth is an honest, hard working, and most capable citizen of this community. The most important quality that I look for in an elected official is if they have the ability to listen to different points of view and then make up their mind. This is a quality which Beth has always possessed.
Beth is a person of character, shaped by a variety of experiences over these past years. I first met Beth when she was an employee of a local bank. I could always count on Beth to answer to all my questions. Beth understands the value of hard work, and the need to obtain a good education that will enable our young people to gain useful employment here in Aroostook County. Beth has made asking questions and seeking the opinions of the people of the 5th District the central point of her campaign. I know that education and economic development for our area will be among her most pressing concerns as a member of the state legislature. I feel that Beth’s common sense approach to the needs of we the citizens will be a breath of fresh air in the halls of Augusta.
Beth has been involved in our community as a small business owner and a community volunteer. I have had the great pleasure to work with Beth as a volunteer at the Anah Temple Shrine Circus. Beth has always been willing to give her time, talents, and resources to work for a greater cause. Beth will be a representative who will put the needs and values of Aroostook County first. I see in her an independent person who will not be tied to a party label but will be one who votes for the best interest of her constituents. I know she will be able to make the tough decisions that will be called for based upon firm reasoning and thoughtful consideration.
I urge the citizens of District 5 to support Beth Michaud for the Maine State House of Representative this November 4th.
