WINNERS OF THE 2008 Crown of Maine Balloon Fest Photography Contest were recently announced. Winners of Category 2 – under 18 – gathered for a photo op at the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce Office.
Pictured are: Autumn Whittaker, honorable mention; Emily Simonds, first place; Brittany Lovely, third place; and Theresa Fowler, executive director, PIACC. Stephanie Winslow, the second-place winner, was absent from this photo. Also winning in Category 1 18 and over – but not pictured, were: Carla Cyr, first place; Ragina Kakos, second place; Charles G. Cormier, third place; and Tracy Whitten, honorable mention. The Chamber received a large number of entries this year and all were great-quality photography. The judges had a difficult time choosing the winners. The PIACC, sponsor of the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest, and the COMBF committee would like to congratulate the contest winners and thank all who entered the contest for their interest and support of this annual event.
